Excellent Training

All team members are highly qualified lifeguards by some of the best Lifeguard Instructors in the Red Cross organization. With help from our Supervisors and Veteran Lifeguards anyone can succeed.

How to become a Lifeguard

First- Contact the Fernley Pool via Email, Phone, or in Person. (contact information below) There you will get dates, pricing, and any other information.

Second- Complete the Pre-qualifactions with an Instructor;

Swim 300 yards (6  laps)

Retrive a 10 lb weight from the bottom of 10 feet

Tread water for 2 minutes with out using your arms

Third- Enter the class bring your best attitude and wiliness to learn.

Fourth- After completing the class and becoming a certified Lifeguard, apply for a job at the Fernley Pool by meeting with the Facility Director .
